End of year

So here it is, our end-of-year dinner cruise in Long Beach. The weather was perfect! and the "Pride" day activities only added to the memorable-ness of the event. Wish everyone could have been there...the Edward's new boat "THUNDER" made this really luxurious. Thanks to the Kessler's and Bodhaine's for the drinks and snacks. (big) THANK YOU Brother Boyer for your generous donation of the catered dinner (your wife appreciates it!).

Seminary Auction

Auctioneer Brother Boyer
going...going...gone!
being outbid is funny???
Lance, really wanting the candy bag...
Brother Boyer sometimes gets upset with me for spending so much on my class. The auction was no exception! Oh well it was worth it to me! You are the most amazing youth I have had the privlege to serve with. And after being so great during the month of March...and getting through the "doldrums of the year" your reward was sure. Here's to a wonderful closing of the seminary year. Only 7 weeks to go! It will happen fast. Well maybe not fast enough for some of you! I understand, and I'll try not to take it personally :-)
Some of our great prizes: Visa gift card, ITunes, Jamba Juice, Jack In The Box, 31 Flavors, In n' Out, Blockbuster, Regal Theaters, Hollywood video, Wendy's...and candy treat bags.

Church of England Minister converts

Was this a wonderful experience or what???! Brother Atkins spoke powerfully of his conversion process and the importance of being "BOLD" as missionaries. Didn't you just love his "british" accent? Very fun! We sure are lucky to have such wonderful people to inspire us with their testimony of the true church. May you take the special witness of his conversion from Minister of the Church of England to Latter-day Saint, and let it make you a better missionary!

Rabbi Fayer wakes us up

Don't I promise to "WAKE " you guys up??? Bet you didn't think I would bring in a Rabbi to teach you! Rabbi Zev Fayer gladly accepted my invitation to talk to our class about the Passover supper (Sedar) and share the symbolism of the foods and the re-enactment of the Exodus story.

Knowing that the "LAST SUPPER" of Christ was the Passover helps us to realize the testimony that he left with his apostles that he was indeed the Messiah. At the drinking of the wine he raises His cup to say, " 27. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28. For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.-Matthew 26:27-29
